Russia's central bank has filed a legal challenge against an EU regulation in the General Court of the European Union, arguing that the rule interferes with its ongoing legal dispute with Belgium-based clearing house Euroclear over frozen Russian assets. The lawsuit is part of a broader legal and financial standoff between Moscow and the West over hundreds of billions of dollars in Russian central bank assets frozen since the start of the full-scale invasion, which the EU and G7 have discussed using to support Ukraine.
