Russian attacks caused civilian harm and property damage across multiple Ukrainian regions on September 17-18. In Kyiv Oblast, a Russian drone strike on the Fastiv district on the morning of September 18 injured five people, including three children who were hospitalized. Overnight, Russian forces launched 93 drones of various types nationwide; Ukrainian air defence destroyed or jammed 72 of them, with hits recorded at 13 locations. In Zhytomyr Oblast, Russian forces struck an industrial park in the Korosten district on the evening of September 17, killing two people and injuring two others and sparking fires in warehouse and production buildings. Casualties from earlier strikes continued to mount: a 56-year-old man injured in the September 10 Russian attack on Dnipro died in hospital, while another victim from that strike remains hospitalized in moderate condition. The continuing toll underscores the sustained scale of Russian aerial attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and population centers well beyond the immediate Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk areas initially reported.
