Hawaii's Big Island began damage assessment and cleanup efforts after Hurricane Lala, downgraded overnight to a tropical storm, passed by the island while dumping heavy rain across the archipelago. Governor Josh Green said at a news conference that officials were still investigating whether any deaths were linked to the storm.
