A new study found that Alzheimer's patients with atrial fibrillation who took newer blood thinners (NOACs) experienced a slower decline in cognitive function compared to those using warfarin or no blood thinners at all, suggesting a modest but potentially meaningful additional benefit beyond stroke prevention.
