GDACS issued a series of green (low-alert) forest fire notifications for wildfires burning in Angola, Australia, the Dominican Republic and Indonesia between September 8 and 19, 2026. Two separate fires were reported in Angola (starting September 8 and 9) and two in Australia (both starting September 15), alongside single fire notifications in the Dominican Republic and Indonesia, also beginning September 15. None of the alerts reported casualties, displacement or significant damage, and all are classified at the lowest GDACS alert level, indicating limited expected impact.
