GDACS issued green-level forest fire notifications for Namibia covering two overlapping periods: a fire that started on September 17 and continued until September 19, and another that began on September 18 and lasted until September 20, 2026. No casualty, damage or population impact figures were included in either alert. The notifications indicate ongoing but apparently low-severity wildfire activity in the region, with no reported deaths, injuries or displacement associated with the fires so far.
