Flooding around the city of Malda in India's West Bengal state, ongoing since the preceding Thursday, has killed at least three people and left numerous villages and the Bhutni region still flooded, according to The Guardian's Weather Tracker. Erosion from the flooding at Khaskol disrupted river flow, worsening impacts in Bhutni. The same report also noted severe beach erosion in Orange County, California, linked to recent hurricane activity offshore, though no casualties were reported from that erosion.
