GDACS recorded several minor-to-moderate 'green' level earthquakes on September 20, including magnitude 4.5-5.1 quakes in Japan affecting between 2,000 and 1.6 million people within 100 km depending on location, a magnitude 4.6 quake at 87 km depth in the United States, a magnitude 4.8 quake near the Solomon Islands, and a magnitude 5.3 shallow quake in Argentina affecting about 60,000 people nearby. All were classified as low-impact green alerts with no reported casualties or damage.
