Intense, slow-moving thunderstorms struck eastern Spain, first hitting the Castilla-La Mancha region before moving to the east coast, including Valencia and Barcelona, causing severe flooding, torrential rainfall, strong winds and large hail. At least one person was killed as the storms continued overnight.
