Tropical Storm Odalys was located well southwest of the southern tip of Baja California as of the evening of September 21, 2026, showing signs of better organization with cooling cloud tops and persistent convective banding. As of 8:00 PM PDT, the storm had maximum sustained winds of about 50 mph and a minimum central pressure of 1002 mb, moving west-northwest at roughly 7 mph. The National Hurricane Center forecasts slow strengthening in the coming days. The storm remains far from land, roughly 1,460 miles southwest of Baja California, and GDACS has issued only a green-level notification with no population currently estimated to be affected by tropical-storm-force winds.
