Xbox confirmed that Hellblade developer Ninja Theory is entering consultation ahead of closure, after two separate deals to sell or spin off the studio fell through. Xbox content chief Matt Booty announced the news on September 22 as part of the platform's ongoing restructuring. Ninja Theory, known for the Hellblade series, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, DmC: Devil May Cry, and Heavenly Sword, becomes one of the most notable casualties of Xbox's continued downsizing of its first-party studios.
