An Israeli court sentenced Fares Abu al-Hija to four and a half years in prison for spying on former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and other targets on behalf of a suspected Iranian agent. The court found he received roughly $3,600 for his tasks and had suspected but failed to investigate his contact's ties to Iran.
