GDACS recorded several moderate 'green' alert earthquakes (magnitude 4.5-4.8) within a 24-hour span on Sep 22-23, including two quakes in Indonesia (potentially affecting 2.6 million and 1.2 million people within 100km), one in the Philippines (560,000 people), one in Tonga (90,000 people), one in China (1.2 million people), and one in Russia (2,000 people). All were classified as low-severity green alerts with no reported deaths, injuries or damage. These events reflect routine seismic activity in tectonically active regions and were not associated with any reported casualties or destruction.
