A Washington federal judge issued a default judgment ordering Reddit moderator James Williams, known online as "archbox," to pay Nintendo $4.5 million and shut down online stores allegedly distributing pirated Nintendo Switch games. Williams had been sued by Nintendo in 2024 and became a leading moderator of the r/SwitchPi community centered on Switch piracy.
