Ukraine's General Staff reported Russia lost roughly 1,540-1,560 soldiers killed and wounded per day in the latest updates, alongside 247 combat clashes on 22 September concentrated on the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk fronts. President Zelenskyy said Russia has captured 890 sq km of Ukrainian territory in 2026 at a cost of about 270,000 casualties, while Ukraine has liberated roughly 800 sq km.
