The EU delisted Russian billionaires Mikhail Fridman and Alisher Usmanov from its sanctions list while rolling over sanctions on roughly 3,000 other individuals and entities for three years; Fridman said he was surprised by the move. The decision drew criticism from Brussels officials and Ukrainian officials who called it a 'dangerous precedent.' Ukraine's sanctions adviser Vladyslav Vlasiuk urged the EU to instead sanction billionaires Vladimir Potanin and Vladimir Lisin to restore credibility, while the UK's government told Zelensky it would maintain its own sanctions on Russian oligarchs despite the EU's move. Separately, the EU sanctioned Xenia Fedorova, former head of RT France, over alleged information manipulation.
