James Copenhaver, a 76-year-old attendee at a 2024 Donald Trump campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, has died from injuries sustained during an assassination attempt on the then-candidate, his lawyer announced Thursday. Copenhaver was one of three rally attendees shot in the incident. The death marks a tragic long-term consequence of the July 2024 shooting at the rally, which had also claimed the life of another attendee and injured others during the attempt on Trump's life.
