Players have used the open survey to voice strong opposition to the move, sparking a wave of community pushback. Separately, reports indicate Sony has also sent an unusually large survey to developers seeking feedback on the same decision. The scope of the developer survey — described as one of the biggest Sony has sent out — has fueled speculation that the company may be having second thoughts about ending disc-based releases. Sony has not commented publicly on whether the surveys will change its plans.
