Hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters marched on the Labour Party's annual conference in Liverpool—the first since Andy Burnham became prime minister—calling for an end to UK arms sales to Israel and for expanding recent sanctions on West Bank settlements to cover all of Israel. Musician Rob Del Naja of Massive Attack was arrested under the UK's Terrorism Act for holding a sign reading 'I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action,' a group the government proscribed as a terrorist organization in July 2025.
