Researchers found that scented cleaning products can react with indoor ozone to generate billions or trillions of invisible nanoparticles within minutes, some of which can penetrate deep into the lungs. In certain cases, the resulting inhaled particle dose was comparable to or greater than standing near heavy traffic.
