Hurricane Odalys, located roughly 885 miles west of the southern tip of Baja California, has been rapidly weakening due to strong vertical wind shear, with its convective structure degrading into an irregular shape. As of Saturday night it had sustained winds of about 80 mph and a central pressure of 979 mb, moving north at about 7 mph, well offshore and not threatening land directly. GDACS listed the cyclone as a Green (low) alert with no significant population exposure to damaging winds reported. The storm is expected to continue weakening over the coming days.
