GDACS recorded a series of minor to moderate 'green' earthquakes over Sept. 27-28, 2026, in Vancouver Island (Canada, M4.9), Russia (M4.5, affecting an estimated 3,000 people), Fiji Islands (M4.5, deep at 602km), Colombia (M4.6, near 1.5 million people within 100km) and the Dominican Republic (M4.8, near 4.3 million people within 100km). None of these alerts reported deaths, injuries or significant damage, consistent with their low green-level classification.
