HBO announced new casting details for the third and possibly final season of The Last of Us. John Goodman joins the cast, alongside two actors reprising roles from the games in different capacities—Laura Bailey, who voiced Abby in The Last of Us Part II, will now play a new character named Elizabeth, while Ian Alexander, the game's voice of Lev, also joins the show though Lev is being played on-screen by Kyriana Kratter (with Kaitlyn Dever as Abby). The casting news continues to build anticipation for the acclaimed HBO adaptation's next chapter, which adapts material from The Last of Us Part II.
