Ahead of the UN General Assembly, the G7 condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia 'in the strongest terms' and called on Iran to stop arming the group, warning that escalating fighting in Yemen threatens global energy security. The UK separately announced it would provide air-to-air refuelling support for Saudi jets conducting what it called defensive operations against Houthi attacks.
