Israeli forces killed Izz al-Din al-Bik, commander of Hamas's North Gaza Brigade, in an airstrike on Gaza City — the third Hamas brigade commander killed by Israel in recent weeks, following earlier strikes that killed a Hamas financier and a sniper. Separately, an Israeli strike and gunfire killed two Palestinians and injured several others, including children, in an apartment in Gaza City's al-Nasr neighborhood. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz also threatened to target Hamas leaders living outside Gaza, as the military continues operations against people it identifies as militants inside the territory, signaling an expansion of Israel's campaign beyond the enclave's borders.
