A suitcase-sized spacecraft called CosmoCube is being developed to use the far side of the Moon as a shield from Earth's radio noise, hunting for a faint cosmic signal predating the first stars. The mission could reveal how the universe's early 'dark ages' ended and how dark matter contributed to the formation of the first galaxies.
