Two moderate earthquakes struck the Philippines on 30 September 2026: a shallow M4.8 quake at 10km depth affecting an estimated 1.8 million people within 100km, and a deeper M4.5 quake at about 157km depth affecting roughly 20,000 people within 100km. Both were classified as green-level alerts by GDACS with no reported deaths or damage.
