Two moderate earthquakes struck Russia on 30 September 2026. A magnitude 5.0 earthquake at a depth of 35 km occurred at 18:21 UTC, followed by a magnitude 4.9 earthquake at a depth of 31.9 km at 18:36 UTC. Both were classified as green (low-impact) alerts with few people estimated within 100 km of the epicenters and no reported casualties or damage.
