Six smugglers have been sentenced to jail for manslaughter following the worst Channel small boats disaster, in which 31 migrants drowned when their boat sank in November 2021. The convictions found that the guilty men were part of two separate smuggling networks operating the dangerous crossing, holding them criminally responsible for the deaths.
