The anime adaptation of Thunder 3, based on Hiroya Oku's supernatural mystery manga, concluded its 12-episode first season on Netflix with an announcement that a second season is coming in 2027, accompanied by a teaser video. Reactions to the finale were mixed, with some viewers expressing dissatisfaction over the lack of a conclusive ending. Produced by Unend, the series had simulcast worldwide on Netflix, and the renewal confirms the story will continue following the manga's conclusion earlier this year.
