A series of minor-to-moderate 'green' earthquakes were recorded globally within a day, including a magnitude 4.2 quake near Wauna, Washington (USA), a magnitude 4.6 deep quake in Indonesia (430,000 people within 100km), a magnitude 4.9 quake on the Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge (no people affected), a magnitude 5.6 quake in Costa Rica (40,000 affected), and a magnitude 4.6 quake in Japan (no people affected). None of these events were reported to have caused deaths, injuries or significant damage.
