Sony is launching Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR), a new AI graphics upscaling technology for the standard PS5, developed through its Project Amethyst collaboration with AMD. Early hands-on testing suggests QSSR is not as fast as the PS5 Pro's existing PSSR technology, but extends AI upscaling benefits to a much larger install base.
