A D.C. judge has permanently ended the federal case against former Olympic canoeist David Hearn, who had been accused of vandalizing the Reflecting Pool. Citing 'exceptional circumstances,' the judge ruled the government cannot refile the charges, despite pressure from President Trump to do so. The judge suggested Trump might have targeted Hearn because he was politically active and had donated to Democrats.
