Ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6's release, Rockstar Games and partners ramped up marketing and new details emerged about the game's content. The Miami Heat announced they will wear GTA 6-inspired jerseys and play on a Vice City-themed court the day before the game's November 19 release, drawing attention (and confusion among UK commentators unfamiliar with the NBA team). Separately, a new screenshot appeared to reference Pulp Fiction's iconic diner scene, continuing a trend of pop-culture nods in the game's marketing. Age-rating descriptions published on PlayStation Store listings in New Zealand and Australia revealed that protagonists Lucia and Jason can use drugs "directly from their inventory" at any time, and that the game may include its first-ever "sex scenes." Industry figures also weighed in on GTA 6's $80 price tag, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 co-founder Martin Klima saying he hopes the game "blazes a trail" toward higher prices industry-wide, calling it "necessary for this business to survive." Commentators also noted the game's satirical, "turned up to 11" take on modern society.
