The US Treasury Department sanctioned three individuals and two France-based charities accused of funnelling more than $2 million in donations to Hamas, with an alleged Gaza-based ringleader indicted. Separately, federal prosecutors charged a group of defendants, including an alleged fundraiser who told an undercover agent he had a financing network in New York, with funnelling money to Gaza militants under the guise of charity.
