Hungary appears to have eased its block on Ukraine's EU accession negotiations after Kyiv agreed to introduce a draft law expanding education rights for national minorities, including Hungarian-speaking communities. Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar and Hungarian political alliances in Ukraine welcomed the bill and urged its swift passage, while Ukrainian officials, including Deputy PM Vsevolod Chentsov and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, said they expect Hungary to lift its veto and remaining EU accession clusters to open by year-end. The development marks a significant breakthrough after Hungary had long blocked progress on Ukraine's EU membership bid over minority-language education concerns.
