Vladimir Putin banned Russians and foreigners from taking more than one million rubles in cash out of Russia to EAEU countries—Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan—as well as Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, a restriction that took effect September 29.
