The UK Environment Agency has warned that more than two million people in England are unaware their properties are at risk of flooding, out of six million at-risk properties overall. The agency says the next three months are more likely than usual to be wet and windy due to large-scale weather patterns combined with a strong El Niño, urging residents to prepare for a stormy start to winter.
