Iran's Intelligence Ministry announced the arrest of at least 31 people in Sirjan county, Kerman province, accused of belonging to four networks allegedly backed by the United States and Israel. Authorities said the suspects were organized to recruit teenagers and young people and had stockpiled Molotov cocktails and other materials for sabotage and unrest. The arrests come amid heightened Iranian security concerns over foreign-linked destabilization efforts following months of tension with Israel and the US. Iranian state media framed the operation as a defensive move against covert attempts to incite domestic unrest.
