A phase 2 clinical trial involving patients with precancerous or low-risk blood cancers found that daily vitamin C supplementation did not slow abnormal cell growth but was associated with favorable reductions in inflammation and fewer serious complications. An exploratory follow-up also found fewer deaths among participants taking vitamin C compared to those on placebo. While not a definitive treatment outcome, researchers say the results warrant further investigation into vitamin C's potential supportive role in blood cancer management.
