The UK's Environment Agency has warned that more than two million people in England are unaware their properties are at risk of flooding, out of roughly six million at-risk properties nationwide. The agency cautioned that the next three months are more likely than usual to bring wet and windy weather, driven by large-scale weather patterns and the influence of a strengthening El Niño, urging residents to prepare ahead of the stormy season.
