Amid war tensions, Iranian officials engaged in a wide range of diplomatic activity, including Foreign Minister Araghchi's talks on ties with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Lebanon, meetings between the Foreign Ministry and Germany's and Denmark's new ambassadors, and President Pezeshkian's outreach to Thailand, Tajikistan and newly appointed Iranian ambassadors. Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni traveled to Doha for security talks and to discuss a joint task force with Qatar, while Iran also appointed a new ambassador to the UAE and sent an IRGC team to a Shanghai Cooperation Organization anti-terrorism exercise in Belarus. Separately, President Pezeshkian is set to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of a CIS summit in Turkmenistan. The flurry of meetings reflects Tehran's effort to shore up regional and international relationships while facing Western pressure and isolation.
