Yemen's Houthi movement carried out a wave of ballistic missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia and government-held Yemeni territory this week, targeting airports in Riyadh, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran and Abha, as well as Aden International Airport, which was struck by explosions on Wednesday. The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted several missiles, while Saudi authorities reported injuries at the Jazan and Najran airports. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said the group was also targeting Saudi Aramco oil facilities in retaliation for the Saudi blockade and air strikes on Sanaa. Saudi Arabia said it had restored full pumping capacity on its East-West pipeline after a major attack last month, underscoring the economic stakes of the escalating exchange. Yemen's internationally recognized government condemned the Houthi strikes on Saudi airports and voiced solidarity with Riyadh, while the attacks added further strain to an already volatile Gulf security situation.
