Russian authorities are investigating a batch of the Multikan-8 vaccine found to contain live Aujeszky's disease virus, which is almost universally fatal to dogs, after the contamination caused mass pet deaths. Moscow prosecutors have opened a criminal case against the manufacturer over allegedly falsified documentation.
