A large-scale Ukrainian drone attack struck Moscow and the surrounding region overnight on October 5–6, killing two people and injuring several others. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said roughly 650 drones approached the capital region, with over 100 intercepted before reaching Moscow; one strike reportedly set ablaze the region's largest fuel storage hub. The attack represents one of the largest Ukrainian drone strikes on the Russian capital region to date, part of Kyiv's ongoing campaign against Russian energy and military infrastructure.
