An oil refinery in Volgograd, Russia, has completely halted crude processing following a Ukrainian drone attack on October 2, Reuters reported. The facility is one of several Russian refineries Ukraine has targeted this year as part of a campaign to degrade Russia's fuel production and export capacity. The shutdown adds to mounting pressure on Russia's refining sector, which has suffered repeated disruptions from Ukrainian long-range drone strikes throughout 2026.
