The National Park Service confirmed on Friday that Hawaii's Hōlei sea arch, a roughly 90-foot-tall landmark formed by ocean erosion around 550 years ago in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, has collapsed into the Pacific Ocean. Officials linked the collapse to a recent stretch of rough storms battering the island's rugged southern coastline.
