A new Tropical Depression Twenty-E formed south of Mexico in the Eastern Pacific as of October 7, 2026, located about 285 miles southeast of Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico. As of 9:00 AM CDT, the system had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and a minimum central pressure of 1006 mb, moving west-northwest at 8 mph. The National Hurricane Center reported an estimated population of 56,306 affected by Category 1 wind speeds or higher in Mexico, and issued an orange alert for the developing system.
