A new report from leaker billbil-kun claims Forza Horizon 6's PlayStation 5 release has been pushed back to January 26, 2027, and will include a physical disc edition alongside a digital release. This contradicts Microsoft's own September statement that the PS5 version remained on track for a 2026 launch, and echoes earlier reporting from The Verge and IGN in late August suggesting the same delay. The repeated and conflicting signals around the PS5 port's timing have fueled confusion among fans awaiting the racing game's debut outside the Xbox ecosystem, part of Microsoft's broader push to bring more first-party titles to rival platforms.
