The US State Department notified Congress it approved more than $2bn in weapons sales to three Gulf and regional allies: Kuwait will buy roughly $400m in repair services and parts for its Patriot air-defence systems, Egypt will purchase over 2,000 FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missiles, and the UAE is acquiring laser-guided missile kits, amid heightened regional tensions tied to the Gaza and Yemen conflicts.
